18 March 2015 DEAR PROFESSIONALS
GREETING OF THE DAY.
One of my assess filled income tax return for a.y.2014-15 on dated 16/08/2014 but did not submitted hard copy as signed to cpc, banglore. Now what should i do whether i can proceeds further by way of again filling of income tax return or not. Please reply as soon as possible.

18 March 2015 you can send now also. no need to file the return. Income tax CPC sending remainders even now for those not sent the hard copies to CPC

But in my case income of my client is increased by 20,000/- as compared to previous return.

19 March 2015 it will be termed as invalid return since it has to be submitted physical copy of itrv within 120 days of filling itr.

19 March 2015 what is the reason for increase, whether after increase revised return filed?

In this case cilent is shifted from one ca to another ca because of shifting of resident of client. No revised return is filled and also original return if filled after 139(1) due date and physically return is also not submitted by the assess.

19 March 2015 you cannot revise the return now since the original return filed after due date. you have to send the ITR-V to CPC and wait for the response from them either notice u/s.142(1) or return rejection. then only you can go for either rectification or return filling again.

My view, several cases CPC agreed the ITR-V even sent after 120 days
