Income tax refund for ay 2011-12

25 May 2012 Respected Experts,

A company has filed the IT Return for AY 2011-12 on 21/09/2011 claiming refund of amount exceeding Rs.25 Lacs.

While checking the online processing status, the massage displayed on the screen that there is no record found for the given PAN.

When we called at CPC, Bangalore, they said that the return is under process.

Now, we want to know -
1. What is the time limit for processing the e-return by CPC?
2. What action we should take to get the refund?

25 May 2012 For corporate assessees, the time for processing returns is 5 to 6 months. It may take even longer if the amount of refund is very high.
