20 March 2015 Dear sirs,

Kindly advise me reg the following

1) I got a client, a partnership firm. they have done the business up to 28/02/2015 and subsequently dissolved the firm.
Now the question is, who has so sign the itax papers for asst year 2015-16?

I want to surrender their pan card. Pl adv me so as to where I should surrender the same and the procedure for surrendering?

20 March 2015 for surrendering u must write a letter to jurisidictional ao and must inform abt the same.

for ay 2015-16 even for disolved partnership firm you have to file itr for firm.

22 March 2015 Any of the partner has to sign the ITR V of Assessment Year 2015-16. The firm was in existence for FY 2014-15 i.e., AY 2015-16 so the then partner has the responsibility to file the Income Tax Return and sign on ITR V.

Write to the jurisdictional AO enclosing a copy of dissolution deed and the Original PAN Card and requesting for cancellation of the PAN. Keep a copy of the letter duly acknowledge by the department for record.
