Dear SIr,
I am a Govt Servant and My employer Deduct my Tds and on the time of filling i have one problme i am short confusing about, Can i take income tax exemtion for Rent Paid to Wife , and if house is owned by my wife

When you take up residence together, such a transaction does not bear merit under tax laws since commercial advantage is not expected out of marital relationship.
