04 July 2011 One of Director having total tax liability for the FY come around Rs.8,64,052/- out of that TDS certificate of Rs.8,62,639/- is available including from renumeration. Balance tax payment is Rs.1410/-.

1.Whether he has to pay interest for the same, if yes rate of interest and period

2.Whether he can pay tax through chalan to nationalised bank? which chalan he has to use?

04 July 2011 1. If return is filing on or before the due date, no need to pay interest.
2. Yes. Use challan ITNS 280.
