Gross salary 613436
CA/TA 8400
PT 2500
80-c LIC 100000
80-E Interest On Education Loan 40000
as per my knowledge tax and Ed. cess is 23892
my friend knowledge tax and ed. cess is 21892
there is controversy between new sec 87a
above which tax calculation is correct or wrong.please clarification sec 87a and tax amount.

Since Net taxable income after all deduction under Ch. 6 A is less than Rs. 5 lakh then rebate of Rs. 2000 is available u/s 87A.
