11 November 2013 A person has executed power on his behalf to his for executing sale deeds etc. in the year 2006 and the son did so in the year 2009 for selling of property, in the year 2010 father person died. Now, the son has received notice u/s133(6) calling for information. under these circumstances, is the son liabile for any tax liability which was arisen in the hands of the father.

He is not liable for any tax as power of attorney holder. But He is liable to the extent he got any other property from his father through will or Otherwise.

E.G. If He has received 1/4 part from Father total property he is liable for 25 % of tax Liability .
