Dear sir,
I want to know whether we can claim tds for last yr receipt of Income in curent year? i.e. Last yr ast.yr 2009-10 while filiing itr only net amount considered as income , but there tds which was deducted and not claimed in return. Shall we claim the tds amt as income and claim that amt in tds while filing this yr return asst.yr 2010-11.

Revise last year return if possible as TDS claim should be backed by Income as per section 199.

its better to revise your last year return to include the gross income (including TDS amount) & claim the TDs deducted.
