Import of excel data to tally 9

i am running a small business and need to import purchase and sales data in excel format to tally 9.
pl help me in this regard.

23 January 2012 It can be done by using TDL(Tally definition File).These tdl can be purchased from tally company Or there are some softwares available like UDIMAGIC with the help of which we can import excel data to tally. . Other wise it is not possible to import data directly from excel to tally.
