What is the impact of case law decisions on the provisions of statute ? Does decisions of High Court & Supreme Court have different impact on the provisions ? Please provide explanation regarding the impact of decisions of court on the statute.

13 August 2012 The decision of Supreme Court becomes the law of the land. This means that the decision of the Supreme Court prevails over the Act/Rules, unless subsequently overruled by inserting an amendment in the Act/Rules.

No such status is enjoyed by High Courts.
