24 March 2017 Hi Friends my client is having a business of Renting CCTV to Builders and also selling CCTV to customers with installation and commissioning. my question is whether service tax and both applicable in this case whether purchase of hard disk and other storage devices is eligible for input vat If RCM applicable then tell me the rate and provisions. bcoz our Builders who has taken Renting service is deducting TDS

24 March 2017 Service tax Applicable on installation and commissioning. Supply Of CCTV Vat is Applicable. If supply and installation than it falls under work contract 70% Vat and 40 Service tax,

RCM applicable only on works contract services if you billed in capacity of other than Company billed for Company .other wise full 40% on bill value service tax Applicable @ 15%, for company 50% of 40% to be billed to Pvt Ltd company and 50% will be discharged under RCM.
If it is purely installation than RCM not applicable whether it's company or non companies, service tax to be charged @ 100%
