26 November 2010 Dear sir.

I got income tax intimation letter on 25.11.2010...letter dtd 08.11.2010 on recd dtd: 25.10.2010..but the thing is hearing dtd: also 25.11.2010...i have to give to department letter how can i write ltr to department?

26 November 2010 Dont worry about the intimation date & hearing date, first check why there was delay in receipt of the intomation from the dept. If you have proof of Registered post etc., Write a letter stating the facts of receipt of intimation & take some time for extension.

But what does the intimation asks for?
First ofall check whether it is intimation or notice for scrutiny.
