11 August 2016 Dear Experts, i am paying Rs. 4000 PM rent and my employer is giving me Rs. 3000 PM HRA, but i also have house in the same city which is in my name and my parents are residing in my house, pls tell me can i avail HRA deduction, Regard Sumit

11 August 2016 yes, you can very well avail HRA exemption in that case

11 August 2016 sir, my employer has denied to provide the HRA exemption he said to claim HRA exemption you must not have your own house in the same city where you are residing in rental house,
