Hra calculation

Please clarify the below doubt.
During the current year our salary has revised in the month of September with retrospective effect (Ie from April 2011).
Recently we have noticed that, the HRA is calculated on Monthily basis for the purpose actual HRA Received.
is the calculation correct?
