dear all experts
we are supplying food item and our hsn code is 20019000. ( pickle )
now our turn over is above 1.5 cr & we want to use 2 digit hsn code.
1. please guide me how to use 2 digit hsn code if our code is 20019000.
2. is it compulsory to use 2 digit hsn code instead of full hsn code.
kindly guide me .

The 2-digit option no longer exists: from 1 April 2021 taxpayers with turnover up to Rs 5 crore must show at least 4-digit HSN on B2B invoices and those above Rs 5 crore 6-digit HSN on all invoices (Notfn 78/2020-CT), and GSTR-1 Table 12 follows the same rule, so use 2001 or 200190 for pickles; the full 8-digit code is always allowed.
