I AM COMMERCE GRADUATE AND WOULD LIKE TO BECOME TAX CONSULTANT. SO PLS SUGGEST ME AM I ELIGIBLE OR NOT ?

HOW I BECAME VALID PRACTICENER ?

29 November 2013 yes you are eligible. You need to register under Rule 54 of the Income tax Rules 1962 using Form 39

29 November 2013 I advise you to first practice as an assistant to a learned and senior CA/practitioner in this field.You need to learn a lot on interpretation,details,case laws,circulars,notifications,clarifications,drafting,presentation of accounts for audit etc. All these and more have to be learnt by real experience and study,then only it is better to become an STP/ITP independently....mjk
