If I have a total income of Rs. 5.6 lac after considering deduction of Rs. 1 lac under section 80C, taxable income is 4.6 lac for the financial year 2012-13, is it mandatory to e-file a return or can I file it manually?

The taxable income being Rs. 4.60 lacks , income tax return can be filed in paper format. E-filing is not mandatory.
