Are retirement benefits (Gratuity & Leave Encashment) received from MSEDCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Distributon Co. Ltd.) taxable ?

It is a Govt company not a Govt dept hence taxable if payment exceeds limits.

IT is a Govt company. So gratuity is exempt as per the rules. Sp also leave encashment
