Please guide the following transaction how to entry pass in books

Flat received from mother after her expiry.

11 January 2017 First of all, you dont need to show the flat in books of accounts.
Now if you still want to , then you should just debit the Flat account (fixed asset) and credit the Capital a/c with the current market value of flat.
