11 November 2017 A hotel having restaurant where tariff for single room is Rs. 8000.but no starred mark.How get on food and hotel rent is to be calculated in view of 23 rd council meeting?Should he charge gst@5% on food and 18% on room separately?

11 November 2017 Restaurants in hotel premises having room tariff of Rs 7500 and above per unit per day (even for a single
room) will attract GST of 18% with full ITC. Hence, according to me, charge 18% with ITC on restaurant in your case.
Date of applicability is pending Notification to be issued in this regard.

11 November 2017 What about room tariff I.e earlier room rent below 1000, gst rate is nil,Rs.1000-2500 gst rate 12% and Rs.2500-7500 gst rate18%.Now after council decision is all room tariff below 7500 eligible to 5%?

11 November 2017 As per Council Meeting, the rate changes are only for restaurants. There is no change in tax rate slab for accommodation in hotel.

11 November 2017 But in YouTube video shown by Take-N-See, room tariff below Rs.7500 will be attracting gst @5% .which one is correct pl.clarify.

12 November 2017 it means Room rent is below 7500 GST on food bill will be 5%.
