From cpc to ao

27 April 2015 Received email from CPC that my return could not be processed & it has to be done by AO(AST). Notice further says if any clarification is needed contact AO.

My query is do I need to contact AO myself or AO will contact me to get desired information??

Shouldn't I wait for him to send me a letter/notification regarding what kind of information he needs in order to process my return.
Is therea any time limit for AO to process a return forwarded by CPC.

29 April 2015 Normally in such cases it is better to contact him straight away so that the return may be processed.
