Sir,
I didn't know that submitting form 10E is compulsory when one claims relief under Sec.89(1). I have filed my IT return for AY 2016-17 where I claimed the relief and have not submitted Form 10E. I did not get any alert regarding submission of 10E while preparing the return and my ITR-V has been successfully e-verified.
Now kindly let me know if I can submit 10E now or should I wait for the notice from IT Department and respond to their notice when I receive that.

Dear Gautam jee , please submit online Form 10E directly, and request for reprocessing of your return, mentioning reference no. in intimation late
