Form 108 in the context of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is used for reporting the training details by articled assistants. The specific question regarding "No. of weeks spent time on the work" pertains to how this duration should be calculated. Hereโs how you should interpret and fill this field:
1. **Include all days worked:** The number of weeks spent on the work should include all the days actually worked during that period, including Sundays and festival days.
2. **Counting weeks:** - If you are calculating weeks, you typically count all the days (including Sundays and festival days) within the specified period. - Then divide the total number of days by 7 to get the number of weeks.
3. **Clarification:** - You do not exclude Sundays or festival days from the calculation of the number of weeks. - Count all days worked and divide by 7 to convert to weeks.
4. **Example:** If someone has worked for 42 days in total, which includes Sundays and festival days, then the calculation would be: - Total days = 42 - Weeks spent = 42 / 7 = 6 weeks
### Summary: - **Include all days:** Count all days worked, including Sundays and festival days. - **Divide by 7:** Divide the total number of days by 7 to calculate the number of weeks.
This approach ensures that the field "No. of weeks spent time on the work" accurately reflects the duration of work completed, taking into account all days within the reporting period. Always refer to specific guidelines or instructions provided along with Form 108 for any additional requirements or clarifications.
