22 March 2012 An individual resident in india has received rent income from Foreign country having DTAA agreement with india and also tax is pain in foreign country.

How the assessee can claim tax credit for tax paid in foreign country??

23 March 2012 Tax credit for taxes paid in a foreign country depends upon relevant DTAA. please share details of the foreign country

23 March 2012 No doubt Manoj is correct but if there is a DTA then you have to add both the incomes in India and you have to submit the proof of payment for taxes outside India. On satisfaction of the tax paid by you the rebate at the average rate of tax shall be allowed for the foreign income.
