21 January 2014 I intend to create suppliers bank details in excel sheet I need a solution that is how to lock account number in a cell because if we mistkaely click any cell thus changed any account number this will lead to credit to wrong account number this is being used for neft transactions to the bank for our regular banking insteda filling challan form
please send me a solution at he realiest

22 February 2014 Hi,

Select the entire worksheet--->Right click-->format cell--->Protection Tab---> Remove the selection from "Locked Option".

Block / select the entire column which is containing all account numbers---->Right-click--->format cells--->protection tab--> select locked option which you have removed in the previous step.

now go to review tab--->protect sheet with some password. That's it.

You can type the data all other places except the column where account number is displayed and the number is secure.

now go to review tab--->protect sheet with some password. That's it.
