i want to purchase a EXCAVATOR equipment from other state [ i am in tamilnadu] . Can I purchase the above against FORM 'C' ?. kindly clarify.

27 May 2011 Yes you can.
Refer M/s. Prakash Govindrao Nalhe V/s. State of Maharashtra VAT second appeal No.102 of 2010 Befor MSTT.
Also you can refer Madras high Court in M.s, Chanda Paints Vs CTO (1986) 61 STC 335 (Mad HC).
