Ereturn submitted twice

This query is : Resolved

31 August 2012 I have digital certificate but while uploading xml file I missed to click sign with pfx and my return was submitted without digital signature. So I regenerated xml file by just changing following details
1. Return Type: Revised
2. Return file u/s 139(5)
3. Acknowledgement Number of ITR V generated after first upload of xml

Then I uploaded new XML with digital signature and got signed ITRV.

Query:
1. What I did and explained above is OK?
2. DO I need to send ITR V generated after first upload of xml to Banglore? I already got another copy after second upload which is signed, so will it not be valid?

31 August 2012 You have followed the correct procedure. The revised return will be treated as the correct return.

Once a revised return is filed, the original return is deemed to have never been filed.

Accordingly you DO NOT have to send the ITR V of the original return to CPC.
