Dear Kindly Let me know about following Questions
1)Please Provide me the list of Items with Tax Rates on which Entry Tax is levied?
2)Whether Entry Tax is applicable if we purchase Goods against "C" or "H" Form?
3) Can we eligible to take Credit of Entry Tax against Output Tax?
4)How we can pay Entry Ta? (i.e as Gujarat Vat Tax or Sales Tax)
Request you all to resolve above quarries @ the earliest....

ENTRY TAX WILL BE APPLICABLE ON ALL PURCHASE MAKE FROM OUT SIDE THE SATES.
YOU CAN ADJUSTE THIS AMOUNT WITH YOU OUTPUT TAX WITH IN SAME AND NEXT PERIOD .
THE RATE OF ENTRY TAX WILL BE HEIGHER ALMOST 12.5% IN ALL STATES.
ENTRY TAX CAN BE PAID ONLINE.
YOU CAN ADJUSTE THIS AMOUNT WITH YOU OUTPUT TAX WITH IN SAME AND NEXT PERIOD .
THE RATE OF ENTRY TAX WILL BE HEIGHER ALMOST 12.5% IN ALL STATES.
ENTRY TAX CAN BE PAID ONLINE.

sir, almost all states where entry tax is applicable like Bihar etc.

There is some diffrence in my opinion. ET is not levied on all items brought from outside the state. Each state has issued a schedule of goods on which ET is levied e.g. TN levies ET on only six of eight commodities. In Karnataka the Sch contains 103 items, but,actual levy is on only around 20 commodities. In Karnataka the ET is not adjustable with VAT. As you said in most other states it is reduced from the VAT payable on sale such imported goods..

YOU ARE ABSOLUTYLY RIGHT . EVERY STATES HAS DEFINED THE COMMODITY AND PRESCRIBED RATE FOR CHARGING ET.
WHERE IS MATTER OF SET OFF WITH VAT INPUT .
