I am unable to do entry of Opening Balance in Tally. would U like to tell me how can i do entry of following

1. REserve and surplus.
2. Secured loans.
3. Capital work in progress.
4.

07 April 2010 can you tell me what problem u exactly facing. its very simple. when you open a new ledger you have to enter the opening balance at the time of creation of ledger. If you had already created it than open the ledger account in edit mode and than enter the opening balance..

However if I Can understand ur problem, then in addition >
For the names u mentioned, it seems that u r entering the amount in Groups.
In Tally the Opening balance will be feeded in the account and not the Group. So open the account under the respective groups and enter the opening balance in the account.
