i cleared my IPCC group1 in may 2011 and registered for articleship on 19/08/2011. according to the completion of 2 & half years of articleship, my final attempt is due in may 2014, but i have not cleared my IPCC group 2 till now. so if i clear my IPCC group 2 in may 2013, will i be eligible to appear for finals in may 2014? are there any such rules that we have to register for finals at least 9 months before final attempt?

Yes, if you cleared your group-2 and registered for Final on or before to the date of apply to final exams of May 2014 then you should be eligible for May 2014. Like IPCC there is no restriction to prior registration of final to get the eligibility to final exam. To get the final exam eligibility requirements is has to register for CA Final and it is in force and has to complete 2 and half years of articleship training(including excess leaves if any) as on first day of exam attempt months.

Thamk you sir. and do u mean that the excess leaves taken during articleship will not br considered for eligiblity of final attempt? 2 and half years should be completed fron the date of registeration only, right?
