Eligiability of cenvat credit in the case of dealer

can we eligible for taking Cenvat on all the material in stock in our unit on the date we took the registration for Excise Dealer.

at the time of registration , produce your records and inventory to R/O, if he gets satisfied, then he may allow you to enter old stock in RG23D register, once entered you can issue invoice.
