Effect of excess leaves on final attempt

06 January 2015 I have a query regarding leaves in the articleship period. Will excess leaves taken in the articleship period, defer my ca final attempt which is due in November 2016?.Also my articleship registration date is 26th march 2014 and till now i.e.,6 jan 2015 i have taken 37 days leaves.

06 January 2015 only 1/6th of actual period served is allowed subject to max 156.

you need to complete 2 years and 6 months for becoming eligible for same and these leaves will be counted as if you have worked but any excess leave shall have to be served so be very cautious in taking leave.

06 January 2015 Thanks, but will it defer my final attempt in any way?...because again i have to take leave for some urgent reason. Please guide me.

06 January 2015 yes the moment your original 2 and half years are exceeded then your attempt may be delayed.
