04 September 2013 Sir,

My client is govt deductor, their period is march to feb. For etds, period is April to march. While filing etds there is mismatch in SALARY PAID AND TAX DEDUCTED, since 12 month period is different. How to resolve it.

However, TDS on salary is deductible at the time of payment only.

04 September 2013 Dear sir,

Thx for reply. Tax is deducted and treasury has filed 24G. Their period is March to Feb as they are Govt deductors. However for IT purpose, FY is April to march. While filing E TDS, for 4th quarter ( 3 quarters not filed)there is difference in salary paid and tds as govt and IT has different FY.

04 September 2013 Please verify the procedural aspect adopted in the last year.

The Balance amount of TDS is payable in the next year so you may consider to show the same as TDS Payable on Salary. In the same manner you can also show Salary payable.

Please take care of reversal of entries, if required, in the beginning.
