E Filling of ITR

This query is : Resolved

17 July 2011 Hi,

I have received salary income from two employers in FY 2010-11.In the form 16 issued by the second employer, exemption for HRA and deduction for medical allowance have not been captured resulting in overstatement of salary income.

I am planning to file my return electronically this year. Do I need to attach revised computation sheet taking impact of HRA and medical allowance while sending ITR-V. I am asking this as the salary income shown in Form 16 and actual salary shown in return are different because of HRA and medical allowance non inclusion. Please advise.

17 July 2011 You are not supposed to attach anything to ITR-V. They will reject your ITR-V.

Instead ask your second Employer to issue a revised FORM 16.

17 July 2011 No need to attach any document while sending ITR

You can keep the calculation base and documents with you. it can be produced if A.O.demand during assessment until the documents no need to send
