E-filing with digital signatures problem

Hi,

Since the past 2 days I've been trying to upload 2 ITRs.. One is ITR-6 for a Pvt Ltd Company and the other is ITR-4 for a Tax Audit Proprietor. Digital Signature is required for both.

In case of ITR-6, I get an error that there is some problem with the server.

In case of ITr-4, I get the following error:

PAN provided at the time of registration of DSC and PAN provided in verification portion of IT return do not match. Please ensure that the person verifying the IT return is the same as the person who has registered the DSC Please rectify the Above error(s) and upload your return again

Name in PAN records is Krishnakant . His usual name is Krishna. Could this be causing any problems?

I've tried 4 different web browsers on 4 different computers. Please help!

09 August 2012 No. The message is the PAN based digital signature is not matching. PAN as per signature and PAN as you are putting in the ITR is not matching. Please check that. Ina very remote case, the digital service provider might have made an error in noting the PAN.

09 August 2012 Please also ensure you have a PAN based digital signature. For want of COST CONTROL, you might be having non pan based digital signature.

09 August 2012 Hello,

The DSC(pfx file) is from TCS so I doubt that it might be a non-pan based DSC. But I think there might be chance of DSC provider inputting wrong PAN in DSC

09 August 2012 Normally DSC pfx file is supplied by the frnachisee. Even the pfx file supplied might be wrong. Some other person from the sme franchisee might be facing the similar difficulty.. and not being cost consious or curious might have gone for one more digital signature... Anyway, please check that. (The worst part of the game is that maximum digital signatures have 1234 as the password..... PITY on us)

09 August 2012 Is there any chance I can re-register my DSC for my Income Tax login? Maybe, just maybe, while registering DSC after logging in, I might have typed the wrong 'PAN'.
