E Challan of TDS

13 May 2008 Can a chartered accountant pay e challan from his personal account on behalf of tax payers. Because the Sec. 44 AB disallowed the expenditure if TDS not deposited within time.

16 May 2008 Chartered accountants can operate a separate cleints accounts for the purpose of e-payment of taxes and tds. This will be very legal. But the CA must ensure he opens a separate cleint accounts. This will be similar to advocates operating cleints accounts
