I want to know that there is any applicability of education cess on salary income for the financial year 2010-2011.Please clear it to me asap.

13 September 2010 Yes... there is no change in the taxation rules under 192 B.

Its applicable as per the slab of the employee.

Education cess is as per slabs? i think education cess is made on all taxable income?

13 September 2010 Simple..... Education cess is applicable on all payees under 192B.

Slab is only for base tax rate.
