26 July 2012 Doller value goes up and and other currency under valuated, at that time importer stand at loss position and exporter stand at gain position, as importer need to make payments in used then he need to purchase at high rate and then importer can make payments whereas in case of exporter will received in usd and when exporter will convert in home currency then will get more...hope this is sufficient..

26 July 2012 when one has to pay more local currency for the same amout of Dollar as compared to immediate previous instance of $/LC.

the key factor of appreciation of particular currency is demand and supply. when that currency is more demanded than supply it appreciates.
