29 June 2012 Can some one working in a particular industry become a director of a company in the same sector?

eg:an individual working in a tour company. Can he become a director in another tour company?

29 June 2012 Yes, there is no restriction in director ship related to same industry.

A director become direction in any other company disregard to industry.

Is it necessary to inform the current employer about the directorship. Since both the companies will be in the same industry will it create a problem in future?

01 July 2012 You have to disclose your directorship in other companies to each company in which you are director.
