Can a company apply for DIN on behalf of the Person to be appointed as an additional director of the Company.

Every individual, intending to be appointed as a director of the company, can file an application for allotment of DIN.

These words I saw on MCA web site also. But my query is whether company can apply on behalf of the Director in the name of Director
