Diff. opening balance in trial balance

08 March 2012 When i put any current assets op. balance Rs. 5000 in tally 7.2, then in trial balance shows diff. in op. balance Rs. 5000.

Have any solution for this problem?

09 March 2012 You have to enter a similar amount on the liabilities side. Either capital or creditors or any other liability.

Once you enter the complete Balance Sheet, there will be no difference.

14 March 2012 Suppose bank balance as on 01.04.12 Rs. 5000/- Debit. First alter ledger and put op. bal Rs. 5000 Dr. then it show in trial balance diff. in op bal.
What is the corresponding entry i'e diff. balance is to be nil.
