Depreciation - straight line method

If the asset is purchase on 30th of March whether depreciation is calculate for 365 days or 180 days in straight Line Method ?

Under Companies Act, depreciation shall be charged for the NUMBER OF DAYS for which the asset was used.
Accordingly, depreciation shall be calculated for 2 days.
