Depreciation on gift assets

Suppose i got AC and Computer as a gift from my Friend and started using it in my office. Can i charge depreciation on them???
As i dont have incurred any cost in acquiring them so can i claim depreciation on them and take the advantage of Depreciation in Reducing my Net profit???
Pls help
