19 May 2012 Can we charge depreciation on residential property being let out and receiving 5000 p.m. as rental income?

Who will claim the depreciation the assessee himself or the tenant?

You even can not claim the depreciation against the income offered for Tax in case of House property then there is no question of charging Income tax.

Income from House property Chapeter does not provide for any Depreciation relief or eligible expense then charging of Depreciation does not make any sense
