You can claim an Income Tax deduction under Section 80D for mediclaim premiums paid for your wife, provided you are the policyholder. If your wife purchased the policy herself, even if you paid the premium, you generally cannot claim the deduction. Ensure the policy is approved and payments are made via non-cash methods.

In case You take Insurance for Your wife's name and also You paid the premium then You can claim deduction...

If you have purchase the policy for your wife, you can claim the deductions in ITR. However please note that: a. Contribution towards health insurance plan has to made to a scheme as specified by the Central Govt./ approved by IRDA. b. Payment should be made by any mode other than cash.
Again if your wife herself purchased the policy for own and only being payment is made by you in that case I would like to request seniors here to guide further on this with reference and circulars on the same.
