I like to know about the deduction U/S 80c,

Recurring deposit in post office is eligible u/s 80c or not?
Recurring deposit is in the name of spouse of the assessee is eligible to the assessee?

This policy bazar site shows that deduction u/s 80C is available against deposit in 5 year Post Office Recurring Deposit, but I could not find relevant notification. Please share if someone has the relevant notification.
