Who can avail of Standard deduction of Income tax and when ( I mean in time of ITR filing or in the time of TDS deduction)

Standard Deduction from salary should be considered by the employer while calculating TDS on salary. TDS should be deducted after giving benefit of standard deduction.

The employee can claim the standard deduction while filing ITR; as declared in form 16.
