In epf/ESIC challan the bank entered the date which is beyond the date of clearing of cheque by 2 or 3 days .What will be the date for I Tax purpose -challan date or clearing date

receipt date and clearing date mentioned in challan by bank.then receipt date.

11 May 2010 Date of EPF 15th of next month and date of ESI 16th of next month. 5 days grace period is available for both.
i.e cheque should be clear in case of epf 20th & Esi 21st .

12 May 2010 Date of clearing should be before 21st or 20th ie. Clearing date is to be considered for IT purpose.
