12 February 2014 Date of credit means the date when you are depositing the amount of tds or tcs as the case may be into the bank ...... Suppose the salary for a particular month is been given on last day of the month and you being the employer has deducted the amount of tds from the salary on the last day of the month but you have deposited the amount on the 2nd of the next month , then in that case , date 2nd will be treated as date of credit not the last date of the month when you have deducted the tds .....
