Date of birth correction in pf

08 May 2014 My company has given wrong date of birth in PF records and I am following up since 5 month for correction but till now there is no progress.

Kindly let me know the following:

1) How to correct DOB?
2) Can I take any action against the company for this default and any penal consequences are there for this default under alw?

You can not correct DOB directly in PF dept.

You need to get it done from HR only.

In case there is no response try escalating matter to CFO / CEO /Owner of company.
